Many members of our community have already invested in the future of our Jewish community by making a legacy commitment to the Jewish Endowment Foundation (JEF), the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts (JFWM), or another local Jewish organization.
We acknowledge these individuals and their inspirational commitment through local and national recognition societies.
A Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment (PACE) Fund is a fund that endows an individual's or couple's annual campaign gift to the Jewish Federation in the name of the donor. If their commitment is $100,000 or more for an individual, they are also recognized as members of the Generation to Generation Society. Locally, the Create a Jewish Legacy Society recognizes any individual/couple who has made a legacy commitment to the JEF, JFWM, or another Jewish agency in Western Massachusetts.
On a national level through Jewish Federations of North America, recognition is given to Lions of Judah who establish a Lion of Judah Endowment Fund with at least $100,000 to perpetuate their annual campaign gift of $5,000 or more to the JFWM. The Star of David Society honors individuals or couples who create an endowment fund of $200,000 or more to endow their annual Federation campaign gift or individuals who establish a permanent endowment of $500,000 or more for any purpose.
Donors with Donor Advised Funds
As the center for Jewish philanthropy in Western Massachusetts, we aspire to be more than the repository of endowment funds. We would like to be the conduit between the resources and the needs.
The Donor Advised Fund you established gives you the privilege of making recommendations of grants to qualified non-profit organizations. Recommendations are processed on a monthly basis. Recommendations received by the fifteenth of the month will be processed for the end of that month (subject to verification of non-profit status and Board approval). As a service to our donors and the local Jewish agencies we support, the JEF is making available an agency wish list. The list will be updated twice a year and will include small projects that donors may consider funding with a recommendation from their donor advised funds.
